Car Modifications and Setup
Car Selection
Drivers must choose one car to enter for each class. Once chosen and declared via YouTube Live stream, That car must be used for every round matching that class.
Changing cars, chassis, tires or making modifications of any kind during the championship is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
Upgrading Tires and Guides
Upgrading to 3rd party silicone, rubber or urethane tires is ALLOWED. Drivers are also welcome to upgrade to Frankenslot or Slot-invasion Guides.
Drivers are permitted to true their tires and remove any dust or debris before racing. However, applying any substances or tire treatments is strictly prohibited to ensure fair and consistent competition.
Upgraded Motors & Gearing
Upgrading the stock motor is not allowed to ensure fair and balanced competition. All racers use the same performance baseline, keeping the focus on driver skill rather than modified equipment.
Altering the Chassis
Altering the chassis or body—such as grinding or sanding—is not permitted to maintain a level playing field. Modifications can affect weight, handling, and aerodynamics, giving an unfair advantage.
Track Configuration & Specifications
Track Configuration
The Global Racing League requires all tracks to follow the official configuration without alterations. Only standard Carrera track pieces may be used, and the layout must match the prescribed diagram. Guardrails and boarders are not permitted.
Power Supply
Track power for all Global Racing League events must be supplied at 14.8V, as provided by the standard Carrera power supply. Variable power supplies are allowed; however, the voltage setting must be clearly visible during the race. Additional power taps are not permitted—power should only be supplied through the standard connection to maintain consistent track performance.
Hand Controllers
All drivers in the Global Racing League are required to use Carrera hand controllers. Both wired and wireless Carrera controllers are permitted; however, third-party or modified controllers are not allowed to ensure fair and consistent competition.
Track Preperation
Track preparation for Global Racing League events allows for standard dust removal to ensure clean racing conditions. However, no additives, treatments, or substances may be applied to the track surface, as they can affect grip and alter performance.
Race Day Rules & Results Reporting
Submitting your Heat Results
Once your heat is complete, please use the official submission form to record your race data. This step is required to finalize your points and officially register your run. The following information must be submitted:
- Total number of laps completed
- Total race time for all completed laps
- Fastest lap time
- URL link to your livestream or race recording
Failure to submit this information may result in your run not being counted toward the league standings.
Heat Completion & Timely Submission
At the Global Racing League, we encourage all racers to complete their heats according to the provided schedule to keep the competition flowing smoothly.
However, we understand that life happens, and sometimes unforeseen circumstances may prevent you from racing on time. When possible, we kindly ask that you submit your race results as soon as you’re able.
Timely submissions not only help our administrators keep the standings up to date but also allow all racers to track their progress and see how they stack up against the competition. Thank you for helping us keep the league fun, fair, and organized for everyone!
Requirements for Official Runs
All official runs in the Global Racing League must be livestreamed directly to YouTube. To ensure your run is valid, please make sure the following requirements are met:
